北京時間12月6日，北控男籃主場迎戰山東男籃，在比賽開始前，北控男籃主帥馬布里在場中對昨日因病離開人世的前首鋼男籃隊長吉喆致辭默哀，默哀詞中稱為痛失這位北京英雄而感到哀悼，并稱吉喆會被永遠記住。

以下為馬布里賽前致辭全文：

Ni Hao.

I speak to you tonight with a heavy heart. My Beijing Brother, and former teammate, ,

captain, G-Man, number 51, recently passed away.

今晚我心情沉重。我的北京哥們兒，前隊友，前隊長，51號，吉喆，昨日離開了我們.

I just wanted to share a few words about him on behalf of my immediate family, my current CBA family, the Beikong Royal fighters, my former team, the Beijing Ducks as well as the City of Beijing.

我謹代表我的家人，我的CBA家族北控俱樂部，之前效力的北京隊，以及北京這座城市，為痛失這位北京英雄而感到哀悼。

The passing of G-Man makes me think of a scripture in the bible. “… to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

吉喆的離開讓我想起圣經的經文，’離開肉體即會與主同在。”

No words can heal this hurt I am feeling right now, or the pain I am sure G-Man’s wife, his child and parents are feeling also. What helps me to find comfort is knowing G-Man is one of God’s angels, and he’s looking over us, watching and protecting us.

沒有詞匯可以治愈此痛，吉喆的妻子與家人也一定是這樣。但我們知道吉喆是上帝的天使，他會一直守護我們。

Did you know that G-Man really loved his fans and he had so much love for the City of Beijing? He really did. Playing for this special city was a true highlight of G-Man’s life.

你可知道吉喆有多愛他的球迷和北京這座城市。他真的好愛。為北京而戰就是他此生的高光時刻。

This Champion’s Champion, captain, teammate, husband, father and son fought a good fight, especially during the last year and a half of his life. Now, it is time for G-Man to take his final rest.

這位冠軍中的冠軍，我的隊友，隊長，他是人子，也是丈夫，父親，打完了壯烈的一仗，特別是他人生最后的一年半。現在到了可以休息的時候。

G-Man 51, you are forever loved, will be forever remembered, and your legacy will forever live on.

吉喆，你被愛著，會被永遠記住，你的故事會永遠延續下去。
