這幅漫畫可以用幾個關鍵詞來總結一一科技、溝通、改變，考生在分析此漫畫的寓意時有比較大的發揮空間，可以有下面兩種寫法。
第一種寫法是緊扣標題“手機時代的聚會”，分析現在同學聚會、朋友聚會、同事聚會、家庭聚會已經“變味”這一現象。聚會的目的原本是一段時間沒有見面的親友聚在一起分享近況，而現如今的聚會中，很多人只要一有機會(上菜前、吃飯過程中、離席前)就拿出手機來看新聞、逛貼吧、刷朋友圈、刷微博、刷QQ空間等，這樣的聚會還不如不聚。當然，這種寫法還有一種“奇葩”的角度。有些考生認為，聚會時玩手機也是無奈之舉：大家都在談論男朋友、女朋友，我一個單身漢情何以堪不如玩手機;或是大家都在聊最近哪個商場有什么活動，像我這樣對逛街完全不感冒的人還是玩手機好了。
第二種寫法是由漫畫中的場景聯想到更為普遍的現實——以手機為代表的高科技產品改變了人們的交流方式。考生可以首先舉例說明過去和現在人們溝通方式的不同，比如說以前的人們擴大交際圈得靠熟人介紹，而現在只要有幾個主流社交門戶的賬戶就隨時可以認識新朋友。之后，考生可以分析這種變化會帶來什么不良影響比如說過分依賴網絡溝通方式可能會導致忽略身邊的親朋好友(類似2009年“網絡的‘近’與‘遠’”那篇作文的主題)。
無論采用哪種寫法，考生在文章尾段都要做出相應的回應，可以提一些建議，或是展望未來。
We can see in the picture four young individuals joining in a reunion dinner. But instead of eating and talking with one another, they each stare at their own mobile phone, either joyful or attentive. The picture illustrates a current social phenomenon, as is suggested by the caption below it, that mobile phones have changed our ways of communication.
The benefits of these changes are obvious. In the past, people waiting for a phone call must stay at home (with a fixed line), while they can receive calls anywhere with a cell phone now. Similarly, people who wish to contact their friends had no choice but to write letters or make phone calls from a landline in the past, but now they need only a cell phone or a social network account. However, we cannot ignore the problems brought by the changes. For example, many young individuals are so addicted to online communication via a cell phone that they have essentially lost the ablity to chat with others face to face. Besides, reunion dinners are boring when attendants prefer to play with their phones rather than talk to one another.
As far as I am concerned, mobile phones do help us a lot in our study and life, yet we should not spend too much time using them. I suggest that people spend more time doing things without the help of mobile phones, and then our lives will become more real and meaningful.
在圖畫中，我們可以看到四位正在聚餐的年輕人。但是他們并沒有吃東西，也沒有跟對方聊天，而是各自盯著手機，或是面帶笑容，或是全神貫注。這幅圖畫說明了當下的一種社會現象，正如圖畫下方的說明文字所示：手機已經改變了人們的溝通方式。
這些改變帶來的好處顯而易見。過去，人們必須待在家里等電話（有固定電話），而如今有了手機，他們可以在任何地方接電話。同樣，過去人們想聯系朋友，就得寫信或撥打固定電話，但是現在他們只需要一部手機或一個社交網絡平臺賬戶即可。然而，我們也不能忽視這些改變帶來的問題。比如，很多年輕人沉溺于用手機進行網上交流，基本失去了與人面對面溝通的能力。此外，聚餐變得無聊透頂，因為相比聊天，聚餐者更喜歡玩手機。
在我看來，手機確實對我們的學習和生活有很大幫助，但是我們不應該花費過多時間玩手機。我建議人們多做一些不需要依賴手機的事情，這樣我們的生活將會變得更真實、更有意義。
